Custom‑made smoking shelter from our metal workshop

We are pleased to present another project from our metal workshop: For a long‑standing, reputable industrial customer, we planned, designed, and installed a high‑quality smoking shelter. The order fits into a successful collaboration that has so far primarily included the maintenance, repair and service of industrial doors and dock levellers. With this project, we were able to once again prove our expertise in the field of custom‑made metalwork and special solutions.

The focus was on the customer's wish for a functional, long‑lasting and visually appealing outdoor area for smokers. The new smoking shelter is designed to blend harmoniously into the existing environment, at the same time be robust against weather influences and provide employees with a comfortable, safe place to stay. From the initial consultation through detailed planning and material selection to final installation, the project was fully managed by our team.

At the beginning there was a comprehensive on‑site survey: Where can the smoking area be placed sensibly, how do employee routes run and which structural conditions need to be taken into account? Based on these requirements, we developed an individual concept that combines functionality, safety and design.

The supporting structure of the smoking shelter consists of robust steel constructions designed for daily outdoor use. Weather‑resistant surfaces ensure high corrosion resistance, so that the structure remains dimensionally stable and visually appealing in the long term. All components were manufactured in our metal workshop with precision and exactly adapted to the on‑site conditions in order to ensure optimal integration into the existing architecture of the plant premises.

In addition to the basic structure, we placed particular emphasis on practical, comfort‑enhancing details. These include ergonomically designed seating areas, sensibly arranged storage options and constructive elements that provide protection against wind and weather. This creates a place that is used willingly even in adverse weather conditions and at the same time establishes a clear, orderly structure on the plant site.

Safety also played a central role in the planning. Sturdy components, cleanly finished edges and optionally lockable elements make it possible to control use of the area and regulate access when necessary. The structure is designed to withstand the daily stresses of an industrial environment and at the same time meet the customer’s internal requirements and relevant standards.

This project clearly shows the potential of custom‑made metal workshop work: Instead of falling back on prefabricated standard solutions, we have created a smoking shelter precisely tailored to our customer’s requirements. From the stable basic structure through the design of the seating areas to functional additions – every detail was planned individually and implemented with high craftsmanship and precision.

The new smoking shelter thus not only expands the infrastructure at our customer’s site, but also underlines our commitment to delivering the highest quality in metalwork and special solutions. Whether industrial doors, dock levellers or individual steel and metal constructions: Our metal workshop stands for precision, durability and design competence – from the initial concept to finished installation.

In addition, this project shows how flexibly our metal workshop can respond to special requirements, both in technical and in design terms. Together with our customers, we develop solutions that improve everyday work, organize traffic routes and upgrade outdoor areas. This creates added value that is noticeable every day.
